The rise of the far right is a significant trend occurring worldwide. Disenchanted with the increasingly "Islamafication of Britain," a 27 year old from Bedfordshire founded the English Defence League (EDL) in 2009. Among its 5,000 members are former British National Party activists, football club enthusiasts and xenophobes.
