A Liberal Democrat supporter waits for leader Nick Clegg before an event in Manor Park, Sutton, Surrey on 18 April 2010. Clegg delivered a speech beseeching young voters to register and vote so they have their say on election day. Following the first ever general election televised debate along with Gordon Brown and David Cameron, in which Clegg was widely seen to have won, the Lib Dem support has soared. With the general election looming on 6 May 2010, candidates are campaigning at a torrid pace, holding many events throughout the UK.
