Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg and wife Miriam Gonza?lez Dura?ntez campaign in New Malden, Surrey on 18 April 2010. Clegg delivered a speech on international development to the congregation of Christ Church, New Malden. Following the first ever general election televised debate along with Gordon Brown and David Cameron, in which Clegg was widely seen to have won, the Lib Dem support has soared. With the general election looming on 6 May 2010, candidates are campaigning at a torrid pace, holding many events throughout the UK.
